macOS

First-launch guide

The current build is ad-hoc signed and not notarized by Apple, so macOS blocks it the first time you open it. Follow the steps below to allow it once — no need to turn off any system security settings.

  1. 1

    Drag to Applications

Open PKP-0.1.0.dmg and drag PKP to the Applications folder, then always open it from there. Don’t run it directly from the disk image.

  2. 2

    macOS 15 and later

The first time you open it, click Done in the alert, go to System Settings › Privacy & Security, click Open Anyway next to PKP, and enter your password; when you open it again, click Open Anyway.

  3. 3

    macOS 12–14

In the Applications folder, Control-click PKP, choose Open, then confirm once more.

  4. 4

    Still says “is damaged”

Only after confirming the installer comes from a trusted source, run this in Terminal:

    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/PKP.app
